Q: email not syncing with the device

I have been having problems with my iPad syncing the inbox on my email account with my device.  I have tried wiping the info on the device then doing a restore through iTunes.  I have tried to delete the account and then replace it on the device still with no inbox.  The junk mail and the trash will populate the emails in them fine, it just seems to be my inbox that will not sync.  Is there any way to get this to work?

    Hi Janet,

I see you are a new user here in Apple Support Communities - welcome! I hope we find you contributing often in the future.

It sounds like when using the Mail app on your iPad, the Inbox doesn't show any mail, while other mailboxes such as Junk and Trash show the contents they should. And you have already done some troubleshooting - deleting the account in Mail and then re-entering it, with no change. Is that correct?

The following article has some useful information for troubleshooting issues in your Mail app - Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Sincerely.

    Thanks Brett,

Yes, I have don some trouble shooting and linked in to the article.  I have checked my settings and re-installed my email a couple times and still am not getting my inbox to sync.  The remainder of my email boxes sync just fine, it's just the inbox.  Any other suggestions?  I would be a VERY happy camper to get this fixed.

    Janet
