Oct 24, 2015 9:15 AM in response to turingtest2by ChitlinsCC,I am confused... I find this easily https://locate.apple.com/ar/es/ (also En Englés via a choice top right) via the path beginning here > https://locate.apple.com/country > Argentina FlagButtonBadgeIcon
Like Bill Murray, I guess I am "Lost In Translation"

Oct 24, 2015 10:35 AM in response to turingtest2by ChitlinsCC,I now see...
in my defense, I have changed my workflow in an effort to defeat a couple of glitches - most notably "Phantom Posts"
To wit:
- I use email notifications of select forum(s) "Following" to read - then reply to - posts (no Phantoms in emails)
- when I choose "reply to discussion" link or chooses the TITLE (same thing), the resulting page in the browser page displays with that post at the very top of the visible page.
- the "Title" is in the email WITHOUT the "referenced" How To document # Prefixed
- I never scroll up to read the title as it appears on the ASC page (I have already read it from the email)
- I re-read the OP and follow ups and proceed as I see fit from these cues.
Further, would not "the wireless carriers" show up under 'authorized resellers' when using locate ??
I may not change my habits to jump to the top of every thread to see if there is some relevance in the HT reference, as often, in my experience, the referenced HT has nothing to do with the REAL issue (doesn't this occur when one "navigates" to a New Question FROM said HT article? - meaning the article did NOT answer the OP's question)
best, as always, amigo

Oct 24, 2015 12:52 PM in response to JBGLXby rccharles,Perhaps, the iphone is in some legal limbo in Argentina. Argentina has laws regarding the importation of computers. Argentina wants to encourage the local manufacture of computers.
I did a query of an address in Buenos Aires . It seems that no independent shops are selling the iphone. I didn't see anyone selling the iPhone.

Your going to need to buy the iphone from a carrier. [ There is always grey market deals, but no warranty. ]
Here is the path I found to get the carriers.
(1) select the iphone. Enter your address.
(2) Now enter your address.
(3) Now click on select a carrier.

Oct 25, 2015 4:10 AM in response to JBGLXby JBGLX,As I started this comments I would like to say that as a "porteño" ( Buenos Aires citizen ) I know that that there are two Apple reseller , Maxim Store and iPoint and until iPhone 4 , the three cell carriers operating in Argentina provided iPhones . The ONLY official Apple Store in the whole south américa is in Brazil !!
And again ...did you saw Venezuela in the list ??? mmm , I don´t know what to think , Argentina and Venezuela out .
