From the iCloud v5 release notes.

    iCloud for Windows v5

This update adds support for iCloud Photo Library and two-factor
    authentication for Apple ID.

    iCloud for Windows v5 requires:

    Microsoft Windows 7 or later

    • Outlook 2007 or later or iCloud.com
(for Mail, Contacts, Calendars). Outlook 2016 is not supported.
    • Internet Explorer 10 or later, Firefox 22 or later, or Google Chrome 28 or
      later (for Bookmarks)

    See iCloud system
    requirements
    for additional detail.

Note where I emphasized the text regarding Outlook 2016. If you are just using Windows 10, most have reported it working. However, you are free to search the forum here for other threads regarding Windows 10 and iCloud so you can make an informed decision.

Hello. I seem to have the same problem in synching e-mail, contacts and calendar of iCloud with Outlook 2010 in Windows 10. I keep getting the message of "iCloud needs repair" following the upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I have repaired the iCloud app, uninstalled it, reinstalled it and the problem persists. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

I don't have any suggestions, since Apple hasn't really said that iTunes and iCloud will run with Windows 10. Many have reported that uninstalling everything Apple and reinstalling has worked, but it hasn't for many others. I suggest you search the forum here for similar questions and look for possible solutions. I have no other ideas. This is one of the reasons I have not updated to Windows 10 or Office 2016 on my computer.

Hi and thanks for your reply. I understand what you mean. I have already done my research and nothing useful so far. I am still a little disappointed though that even though Apple has circulated an updated Bootcamp to accommodate drivers installation for Windows 10, minor issues such as this, remain unresolved... Oh, well, I wouldn't resist trying the Windows 10 for such a minor setback. Hopefully, it will be resolved in some future update of iCloud software for Windows 10. Thanks again.

Well, it wouldn't be the first time that two major software developers delayed supporting the other, would it. I suspect it will get sorted out soon, especially with the changes in Office 2016 and Windows 10 coming rather close together and what it seems to take to maintain syncing, I would like them to make sure it is working well before releasing something, since a break in syncing for me would be detrimental in my everyday work routine. Good luck.

Sure thing! Not the first, nor the last either... Any news on when the Office 2016, will be launched? I am still a little baffled over the differences of Office 365 and 2016, other from the former's "mobile" usage. Any wisdom on this? Thanks again.

For Mac or Windows? It has been released for Windows, and I believe for Mac as well.

Office 2016 for Windows (and also the version for Mac) is available now, either as part of Office 365 or as a standalone purchase. The following chart shows both options. Major differences include the amount of OneDrive space and the support. https://products.office.com/en-US/buy/office

Also, Apple has updated their system requirements document to show that iCloud is now compatible with Windows 10 (and it includes a link to download iCloud for Windows 5): System requirements for iCloud - Apple Support

I agree that iCloud v5 is out there, but if you read the small print I provided earlier, and also from the link you provided for System requirements, Outlook 2016 is not supported yet.

Sometimes even underlining isn't enough for me! Need some coffee.

I agree. I'm ready to step away from this thing for a while, my eyes are starting to cross!

OK Gotcha! I was referring to Office 2016 for Windows 10. From your response and others' in the forum, I gather that it's still too early to upgrade to Office 2016, given that no sync with iCloud is yet in place? However, let me just repeat that my problem was with Office 2010, which had been working fine with iCloud up until now... (prior to Windows 10 installation. Sometimes, I cannot help wondering what's the true value of an upgrade, if it ruins an earlier smooth performance?

Office 2010 should work. It may require the removal and reinstallation of iCloud. Some others have indicated removal and reinstallation of iTunes and iCloud both, but again a lot has to do with Windows 10. Good luck.

Right! Thanks. I did that and it doesn't work. I even tried Outlook 2016 and it doesn't work. I fear that if I uninstall iTunes and reinstall it again, I will lose all my libraries and sync settings with my iPhone and iPad.
