Just updated to the iOS9.1 my iPhone 6s and now Music outputs no sound and radio app just outputs static noise - renders the iphone unusable for Music. Restarted and same thing. Whats wrong with Apple and the new iPhone??????Epic fail. Music app completely broken! one more major fail and I'm returning it....end of story!

This just happened to me on my 6S. Started in the Pocketcasts app and audio stopped working in all other apps afterward. A reboot fixed the issue. Thought it might be a hardware issue, but maybe it's a 9.1 issue?

    Hi all,

Just to make things a bit clear I have reported it to Apple prior to posting here. The post here is just to show this bug to the public.

Here is the link if anyone wonders how to report bugs to the dev team: https://developer.apple.com/bug-reporting/

Also just to make you aware - rebooted , worked once then same again ; downgraded to 9.0.2 all good ; upgraded to 9.1 again - same problem again.

Fingers crossed it's been worked on.

    Thanks

Seems like Apple are adopting the strategy where they don't test their OS and patches, they are using their users for QA and rely on their feedback instead. Really unacceptable!!!

You have to report it as well here : https://developer.apple.com/bug-reporting/

The more people are reporting this the higher the priority will be for the bug!

Explain the bug, attach video recordings/link to youtube (if any) showing the bug, collect and attach the following system diagnostics log from your phone :

    1. Hold both of the volume buttons and Power button until you feel a short vibration from the iOS device.

    2. Sync to iTunes on your host computer.

    3. Find the file that was created on your host machine.

Note: The file the sysdiagnose folder will look similar to: "sysdiagnose_YYYY.MM.DD_HH-MM-SS-XXXX.tar.gz"

    Log locations:

    OS X:

    ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/[Your Device Name]/DiagnosticLogs/sysdiagnose/

Note: "~/" your user folder or /Users/[your_user_name_here]/Library/Logs/... not the root level /Library/Logs/... path

    Windows 8:

    C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\[Your Device Name]\DiagnosticLogs\sysdiagnose\

Note: The AppData folder is hidden by default. Click the View menu item and check the "Hidden items" checkbox and AppData will appear in the list.

    Windows 7 and Vista:

    C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\[Your Device Name]\DiagnosticLogs\sysdiagnose\

Note: The AppData folder is hidden by default. Choose Folder and Search Options from the Organize menu in the file browser window, then click the View tab and change the "Hidden files and folders" option to "Show hidden files and folders".

    Windows XP:

    C:\Documents and Settings\[Your User Name]\Application Data\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\[Your Device Name]\DiagnosticLogs\sysdiagnose\

Note: The Application Data folder is hidden by default. Choose Tools > Folder Options in the file browser window, then click the View tab and change the "Hidden files and folders" option to "Show hidden files and folders".

    4. Attach the sysdiagnose file to the bug.

After that if engineering needs more info they will contact you.

    Cheers
