oh if only it were that easy. i did everything that apple support said i should do but when i tap on the airdrop icon, nothing. is there something that should be on someplace else that i might not have on????

trying to send pictures to my daughters phone.

my daughter' has the iPhone 6, we both have bluetooth on but we are not on the same wifi. both in Illinois but different cities.

i did view the link you sent me. i had also read it earlier when i decided to try airdrop. the link makes it sound so easy but yet when i tap that little icon nothing happens.

i'm not sure how much clearer i can be. i did find out that airdrop is not on my ipad2. though i would have it on my macbook pro because it gives me the choice of how i want it sent.

at least when i click on the icon on my mac it shows the blue line of pictures being downloaded and even puts it in a message type box. but that is where it stops. no option to send. it doesn't even give me the contacts that i can send to.

really? and people like this because?????  i thought it was something that i could use in place of texting or emailing pictures.
