Q: Final Cut Pro X 10 file not opening in version 10.2.2

Hi- I had made a video in FCP X 10 but the compressor wasn't working. So I upgraded to FCP X version 10.2.2 and to el capitan. But now the file .fcpproject is not opening. Video is due in 4 hrs. Any help very much appreciated!

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

Sounds like you need to have FCP X update your projects and events to the library structure of 10.1 and above, That can be done by launching the application and should present you with a dialog. You canals do this manually from the File menu (Update Projects and Events).

The project and event need to be in folders, named Final Cit Projects and Final Cut Events, respectively.

Here's an example. I've pointed FCP to my boot drive:Home folder>Movies.
