    Hey fabiojones,

From what you tell me, you have songs that do not appear in iTunes until you search for them, find them in a directory, and open them manually. Is that right?

It sounds like these songs were copied onto your computer from CDs but never actually brought into iTunes. This article explains how to bring songs into iTunes from CDs - Import songs from CDs in iTunes.

If the songs are already on the computer but not in iTunes they can be imported using the steps in this article - Import music and video from a computer into iTunes.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Happy computing.

correct. and this works fine as a solution, so thank you.  the problem is all of these CD's were imported at the same time in the same manner.  I only recently noticed that a bunch of them were missing from the iTunes library.  the only way for me to find which ones are in the library and which ones are not is to flip back and forth between iTunes library and the folder on the c drive.  is there a way to import all that are not in the library? I hope this makes sense.  Thanks!
