Oct 29, 2015 9:08 AM in response to seventy oneby Maryellen,And oddly now I can't open any files in Preview. png's or pdfs. Still investigating… are these related incidences?

ok, to clarify, the prompt about a security code was through iCloud (system preferences) and I did go ahead and create a security code. My above Preview difficulties were resolved before I did so by rebooting the Mac. I think it was related because I've got Preview files in the cloud.
No mention of new servers were in my prompt.
