Oct 5, 2015 1:19 PM in response to Thebeatfighter119by snppoy,i have the same problem. I went to the Apple Store and they said my backup software had problems. I went home and used my daughters backup but it still froze.
I hope apple doesn't blame their customers because it's ios9's fault. It's unacceptable that we'd have to delete all our backups.

Oct 14, 2015 7:09 PM in response to Thebeatfighter119by HiddenVariable,i decided to upgrade to 9.0.1 from 8.3, guess that was a bad idea. i have the same issue, i have restored 30 times the phone works but only if i set it up as a new iPhone, if i restore from any back up it just sits on the apple logo and if the phone is plugged in it vibrates/makes noise every 3 seconds, the computer still detects the phone but it wont leave the boot screen. i need all the stuff from my back up starting fresh is just too hard.

I really hope Apple fixed the bug so we can all update to ios 9 with our back-up (apps/photos).

Oct 22, 2015 10:46 AM in response to Briansyddallby Thebeatfighter119,unfortunately this didn't work for me when i was upgrading from ios 8.4.1 to ios 9 (0.1 and 0.2), can you confirm that apple fixed this problem in ios 9.1?
@dovfromil no, i'm to scared to upgrade to ios 9.1 and lose my apps/photo's etc. I want to make sure apple fixed this issue before upgrading

Oct 22, 2015 11:28 AM in response to Briansyddallby dovfromil,I would love to know if this worked for anyone else.
@thebeatfighter119 I don't think that Apple acknowledge that this is a problem - which means they probably will never officially release a fix for it.
I wonder if this is related to previous jailbroken OS's.
Note - that this seems to be a VERY uncommon issue - (only 2737 Views in this thread) - which gives us less chances that apple will ever release a fix.

Oct 28, 2015 5:54 PM in response to dovfromilby patriotfan88,SO I came across imazing has anyone heard of it/used it before? from the brief info I've gathered about it it looks like it allows you to take all the important stuff (sms pics notes etc) off your phone and put them on it. So in theory could you take all that stuff off and then upgrade and set up as new and put all that stuff back on? I haven't looked into it that much but sounds like it's plausible...

Oct 29, 2015 4:17 AM in response to dovfromilby dovfromil,Btw - guys, I wonder if this is related to a previously jailbroken device.
Has anyone here NOT ever jailbroken? Although I havent jailbroke since iOS 7, I have never actually done a full restore.
If it is connected somehow to an old jailbreak - maybe this this will help?
