Q: Haptic/click feedback is lighter than before

When I first got my new MBP 2015 I was in love with the new trackpad. That Apple could simulate the click.

After a while now i fell that the feedback when clicking is more lighter (the settings is on medium). Can't sometimes tell that I get a feedback when clicing (their is always an click action but can't sometimes not tell). Before I almost felt that I pressed the trackpad down.

I can't say that upgrading to El Capitan coused that problem but I noticed the problem after the upgrade and putting the clickiness to "silent mode". I have compared to another computer with El Capitan and his feedback with the same settings feels sooo much better. If I turn off "silent mode" I hear the click but it feels the same.

I have tried to reset SMC but don't know if it actually reseted because I don't get any indication of it.

Has anyone else felt that the click-feedback has changed?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), null

    Hello FarmerSwe,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

If your Force Touch trackpad on your Mac isn't responding as you expected, then I suggest that you look through the settings as outlined in the article below to ensure everything is configured correctly.

    Using a Force Touch trackpad

    Have a good one.

Thanks for your answer alex_h1. I have read the instructions for the Force Touch trackpad. The Force Touch have two stages, you press for stage 1 that will trigger a normal click. If you continue to press harder youll gett to stage 2 (Force Touch) where you get extras. Im not talking about the second stage, that is working. But the feeling has changed in stage 1. I have the same settings as my friends and his feeld more real.

I know that the new trackpad used power to trigger the haptic feedback. Feels like my trackpad isnt getting enough power to trigger a good haptic feedback.
