Sep 30, 2015 5:38 AM in response to cpj357by John Meggers,I'm betting this behavior is because of the change to the pressure sensitivity in the new 6s phone. The single, quick tap still works, but if the touch is too long, the phone thinks you're trying to do the pressure-based quick-view. And good find on the double-tap.

Oct 14, 2015 5:40 AM in response to kfox7by BBQ-svg,OK - this is not a bug but an annoying change that is not unlike the old double-click speed issue in Windows. If you double tap the day, it will open - and - if you VERY quickly single-tap the day it will open. It sounds weird, but try it. If you single tap too slowly, (what I consider to be normal speed), it doesn't work. I don't see the benefit of building this in when everything else accepts a normal single-tap.... In any case, once you know it's no big deal.

Oct 14, 2015 6:30 AM in response to BBQ-svgby Amy_L,Just another report that this has impacted my phone and I was thrilled to find the double-tap and light-tap suggestions here, both of which work for me. Very odd - hard to see how this is an improvement but as long as I get the functionality back I can live with it.

Oct 17, 2015 9:52 AM in response to kfox7by hvacrepairman,I am experiencing the same exact problem. At first I thought it was my otterbox case screen cover. Apple when are going to fix this issue and the contacts spotlight search issue. Mad at myself for upgrading to this bad update.

Oct 17, 2015 11:55 AM in response to kfox7by Ugruk55,I am having the same problem, and it is very frustrating. I can no longer tap a date on the calendar to edit or add a future event. I hate iCloud and have it turned off, so this isn't the problem.

Oct 24, 2015 6:58 AM in response to kfox7by HBSteve,The new 9.1 update that just came out now fixes this problem

Oct 24, 2015 10:09 AM in response to HBSteveby cpj357,Yep. The problem is not only fixed, they admitted it was a problem. This is from the release notes:
- Fixes an issue that could cause Calendar to become unresponsive in Month view

Oct 29, 2015 6:51 PM in response to kfox7by ValKorea,I am having the same issue as described above. I have updated to 9.1 and it has not helped at all. Hard reboot doesn't help either. Tech support told me to restore my phone, but they did not acknowledge that there was any problem with the software. That's absurd!
In the OFF chance that someone at Apple is even noticing this thread, I will add my voice: this calendar issue is ridiculous and needs to be fixed right away! I am so frustrated! I've learned my lesson though: NEVER update to the new IOS for several months until all these silly bugs are squashed.

Apr 18, 2016 12:31 PM in response to kfox7by wekrato,Hi!
I had this problem on ios 9.3.1.
I solved it by turning off the option "in Mail gefundene Ereignisse" (something like events found in mail) in the calender tab.
I then turned it on again, it seems to work still.
Hope this helps someone.
