Q: How do I turn off built in display when I have an external display on os ei captain ?

Howdy

I have a problem on OS X Ei Captain, I can not turn my mac book pro retina built in display while my external monitors are connected.

this is really annoying I want it off so I could use my external displays but the only option i have is to dim the display to make it off but the curser will go to the screen and this is crazy, i don't want that.

FYI : I used every method on the internet to make it happen but non of them worked out for me, i'm getting angry not being able to do this.

please provide me a method or solution to turn off built in display while my mac book is connected to external displays and the lid is open and mac book is on battery.

Thanks in advance.

The normal routine is to close the lid with the AC connected, that is the default operation. The assumption is that you're using the laptop as a desktop. If AC is available for the monitors, why wouldn't it be available for the Mac?
