Q: Add RAM

Imac (27-inch, Mid 2011)

Processor 2.7Ghz Intel Core i5

Memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Startup Disk Macintosh SSD

Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

After migrating to Yosemite, It takes more than 3 minutes to boot up.   I tried to use Sleep mode but it is not very stable.  Sometimes I cannot wake up the system so that I have to do hardware reboot.

Q1)  Will adding more RAM shorten the boot up time?

Q2)  Does this model support 4G RAM?

Q3)  What is the maximum RAM support for this model?

Q4)  Can I add 2 x 4G RAM in additional to the existing 2 x 2G RAM so I get a total of 12G RAM?

Q5)  Can my current configuration support the latest OS (El Capitan)?    How should I upgrade my hardware configuration to get reasonable performance?

Q6)  Is the i5 processor on the 2011 version of iMac same as the newest i5 processor on the latest iMac?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
