Q: Hue Bridge 2.0 HomeKit Problem

I got the bridge 2.0 and set it up and all worked ok.

Now siri does not work any more. When I try to set up again, i get the message:

"Another user already paired the HomeKit enabled bridge. Please ask the user to share his / her home kit settings in order for you to start using Siri voice control"

I checked online and philips page said to log out of iCloud and try again. But when I do that, it says to log into keychain. So I log back into iCloud and enable keychain but then I get the same original message as above.

Anyone know what's going on?

Go to privacy settings on iPhone and reset homekit connection, reconnect homekit

Same problem; resetting configuration would yield same repeated error. Worked for a while, now useless

I Am having this problem as well, really want to use homekit but no matter what I do it always says that another user has already paired the bridge even though I am using the device that I set it up on. I really don't want to reset my bridge and lose all of my scenes and settings, I have better things to spend half a day on than that.

Same issues here.... Even going to Settings>Privacy>HomeKit>Rest HomeKit configuration does not work.  After clicking on the confirmation to reset, it does nothing and does NOT actually reset.

I called Philips and they said it is a known problem. I got the already connected and a syncing message. Tech support said they have out this into "hot fix' mode and are working to fix ASAP.  Nothing so far, and now seems a pain to use without Siri!! Hoping for a fix sooner rather than later. Almost half tempted to ask if they sent a new bridge if it would work!

New homekit enabled bridge arrived today, after setting it up I am now also getting this same problem, which renders the new Siri functionality completely useless.

Hurry up Philips/Apple, sort it out!

This homekit is so half baked. I am so disappointed. I am having the same error just because I have another iPhone that uses the same apple account.

I am on the fence if I should return this Philips starter kit. I have over 30 bulbs and resetting the bridge to factory is going to require me at least 2 hours to set everything up I did today. If homekit is so buggy then I will just go back to the old bridge and not use Siri with this. Spending $199 is not worth it with this buggy software.

I'm having the same issue with my new bridge which has arrived yesterday with upgrade discount from philips.

It went through all sorts of trouble shootings, including signing off from iCloud or resetting homekit at the privacy setting. none of them quite worked for me.

The only thing that kinda work was signing off from iCloud on my iPhone and then setting up homekit, hue homekit bridge in my case, and signing back on.

I can partially control lights through siri, but the reason why I call it "partial" is that I cannot modify any settings related to homekit due to this exhaustive 'iCloud sync in progress' issue. The sync issue comes back on if I sign back into iCould on my device and I haven't been able to find any good solution yet. I may make a phone call to apple support to see what other thing I can do. I'm tired of signing off and back on since I have to deal with bank for Apple Pay since I've done this multiple times and banks won't allow me to disable and re-register my credit cards to Apple pay in every few hour or day.

Same issue here as well, tried everything. It worked for a day then never again, very poor quality from Apple and Philips.

Not sure why I paid for the new bridge, I may just return it.

Everyone, I got it to work but you need to carefully follow these directions. You will need to do some reconfiguring on some level.

    1. Presuming your phone will be the main account for the HomeKit settings, start by resetting your HomeKit Configurations under Settings / Privacy / HomeKit

    2. Using your phone, go to this link: http://www2.meethue.com/media/3173537/pressguidelines_homekitcompressed.pdf and follow the directions. You will need  a third party app like Elgato Eve to set this up.

    3. After you have successfully configured your lights, test to make sure all your Siri commands work (both rooms and scenes).

    4. To share your HomeKit settings you will need to enter in your roommate or family member's icloud account. NOTE: I tried to add my girlfriend's account using her gmail account associated with her apple ID. That didn't work. I had to use her @icloud.com email.

    5. Once you've added it, the other person's phone will say that they have been invited. They have to go to Settings / Homekit and accept the invitation.

    6. It took me awhile to figure this out but this is important, your roommate/family member should download the Elgato Eve app and start it up. The settings should automatically have been added when it launches.

    7. Your roommate / family member must go to Settings / Homekit.  They will see that there is a local HOME account and also a shared HOME account. They must delete their local Home Account (not shared) so that only the shared one exists. Siri didn't respond to commands on the shared account until I did that.

Hope that helps. I can explain in more details if anyone has questions.
