Not sure what you are asking - there is no "iCloud.com Photos App" on the Mac - this for is about Photos for the Mac - there is a photos for iCLoud

Assuming you have a Mac then if you use iCloud Photo library then every thing you do on iCloud or any device hooked to you ICPL will access the same photos and to export the RAW from Photos o=for the Mac you use the file menu ==> export ==> unmodified original

I think he mean downloading raw file from the iCloud web app  "iCloud.com/photo".

And I was trying but in vain.

does photos app on Mac actually uploaded real raw file to iCloud photos library?

I have the same question. I have enabled icloud sync from my photos app on my mbp. I now go to the browser to icloud.com/photo and when I download a photograph, I get only a jpeg version of it from the browser. However, in the photos app on my mac, I have made sure it is in raw format. So, the question is: how do I know that the version in icloud.com has my original raw file? Is there a way to download the original from the browser?

I figured this out. I needed to download and install iCloud for Windows on my machine. I was then able to download my raw images from iCloud to my PC in its native ".cr2" or raw format.

From the icloud.com/photo in a browser, you get to only see JPEG versions of the raw images stored internally it seems. But when using the iCloud for Windows client application on the PC, you can get the actual raw images.

Hi binshah, I´ve just installed iCloud for Windows (10), downloaded all files ("Download photos and videos" button) and only files I see in the "Downloads" folder are jpgs... Can you be more specific on how did you manage to download your raw images? Thank you very much!

    regards, ms.
