Q: 2009 macbook should i upgrade?

I have a 2009 macbook and its become very slow should i upgrade to a newer model?

MacBook (13-inch Mid 2009), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

    You can decide to do so or you can try and upgrade the parts of your macbook which is cheeper but may not increase performance as much as a brand new one. It depends on what you use your machine for, your budget, and what you need in a computer.

    You can upgrade both the memory (RAM) and change the harddrive for an SSD which will improve performance significantly.

    I use it for work, and personal use, but it is very slow and I feel like it might just die one day. I was going to see whether I could trade it in for a newer one. What would you suggest?

    I would suggest to trade it for a newer model since that will be more future proof. But that is my opinion.
