Q: should i install adobe or is there a risk of virus on my new mac

i am new to mac and my kids want to play games on websites that require adobe the iMac does not have it and i see a lot of people r talking about virus assosiated with adobe what should i do

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

Adobe what? Adobe makes lots of products.

If you download only from the Adobe website, there isn't any problems with the software. However, the web software needs updates quite often to patch vulnerabilities. http://www.adobe.com

Go to Adobe’s website and download it instead of following any links in prompts to install or update Flash.
