"If you lose or forget your restrictions passcode (Guided Access is a restriction), you'll need to erase your device and then set it up as a new device ..."

Finally after hours of trying every password I can think of (and the password my girls remembered didn't work). I had read if you press the sleep/home button twice in a row it would reset, but that wasn't working, so out of desperation I did it four times (holding it past when the apple would come on). the fourth time I let it restart, then I went quickly to settings to turn off guided access (after two times it still said "guided access started). It allowed me to turn it off, however stil said it was in guided access mode. So I turned it off a fifth time, allowed it to start and thankfuilly it was out of that mode and ready for me to do business. I appreciate your reply
