Nov 2, 2015 6:58 AM in response to kingugidora7000by Ingo2711,iTunes should not delete the backup info stored on the PC. Just to be sure, include the iPhone backup folder in your backup routine or copy the folder to a safe place before you start updating iTunes.

And all other settings, like Apple account info or similar, will also stay the same. But it is not a bad idea to have a backup of that folder, just in case something goes wrong during the install process.
