Q: photo app hacked

While using my iPhone 4s (iOS 9.1) with the HIpstamatic App version 302 on a public sidewalk, I took a picture of this skeleton decoration in a tree on Saturday.

I didn't look at the photo in the library on the phone for a couple hours.

There is text over my photo and I didn't put it there!!  I've emailed the photo to the support with the App. creator.

It seems that the text on the photo doesn't stay with the image when downloaded to my computer via Image Capture.

My concern is for my security and is the iCloud making this hacking possible?

What can we do about this issue?

    Got this from Hipstamatic -

The RTV Shout film includes an effect that adds those phrases to images. The pak was released just before the last election and was intended to encourage people to vote, and have their voices heard.

On that page on our gear site, you can see the film produces several different phrases in random order:

So please don’t fret about those words. That was how that film effect was designed to work.

The image isn’t ruined though! With the newest version of Hipstamatic (that you’re already using) it’s now easy to change the film effect on an image after the photo has been taken. So you can switch that image to another film and easily get those words to go away.

To do that, just open Hipstamatic and go into the in-app photo gallery.

Then tap the image to make it full screen. Then tap little icon that looks like three circles overlapped. (It’s at the bottom right of the screen.)

And then tap the little sliders icon (it looks like three horizontal lines, each with little circles on them) near the bottom right corner of the screen.

That’ll take you into the Editing mode. You can then tap on the film icon (second to the left, just below the image) and select any other film you wish, or you can now even select ‘No Film’. Then tap Done and then Save, in the top right corner.
