Q: Can't unlock file

I can unlock the padlock but can't change the permissions to read and write.

The file is an alias of another which isn't locked.

thanks in advance.

Yes, these files are all in one location.

I would rather not partake in downloading another

    program/app/etc. onto my computer.

But I'm wondering now if it's something

with terminal... After all, with all the

steps I've shared, it's not just this set

of alias files; Almost any file I put into

terminal gives me the same message

that there's no such file or directory

    with the Same "sudo chflags

    nouchg" command.

Can you post the whole command with the path of a failing one, like this?

    sudo chflags nouchg /Users/bdqua/Documents/SpotlightFilename.gif

Oh! You just helped me figure it out!

So basically, when typing <Return> after the file name

and then hitting return, nothing will work.

You need to actually only press the Return button on the computer.

Thank you! This helped out great!

Yes! Everything is great, I managed to unlock the files

with the code and delete the desired alias files!

Thank you again for the help, I feel more at-ease.

If there's anything I can do to help you,

though not quite sure how I can at the moment,
