I was given an iTunes gift card and I redeemed it, next to my appleid in the App Store it says my balance. But I want to use it to purchase something in an app, how do I do that?

Tap on the IAP that you want to buy, it should (if that is the account that downloaded the app) automatically use the account's balance for it
