Q: Can not search contacts since I updated to iso 9.1 on IPHONE 6

I updated my IPHONE 6 to the ISO 9.1 software today, and since I can no longer do a search of my contacts. Shows no results, no matter what name I try. Can anyone advise me as what to do? Can I go back to ISO 9? I have powered down and up the phone multiple times still have same issue.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.1

    Good Morning cluelesspaul,

Are you able to see all of your contacts, but the issue is that you can't search them?  Restarting the iPhone is a good first step.  Next, try a force restart by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time until the display turns off and the back on.  Release the buttons when you see the Apple logo.

You could also try to Reset All Settings from the Settings > General > Reset menu.

Finally, try removing all of the Spotlight searches in Settings > General > Spotlight Search.  Then restart the iPhone and only enable the Contact search in Spotlight.  This should reset the iPhone indexing.  You can enable additional search categories later if you wish.
