If El Capitan is installed on the drive you wish to install Yosemite on the process involves reformatting your drive and doing a clean install, there is NO downgrade ability.
Another option is to use a new drive or new partition if it's available to you..
In any instance I highly recommend you backup your system before proceeding
if you have another drive or another partition you can create several bootable OS instance for your computer provided your computer supports those OS's
the end result is you have Yosemite
