Q: Numbers on iPad mini

When I open an existing spreadsheet it defaults to the very top of the spreadsheet.

Is there a way to open the spreadsheet so that it defaults to the last point of editing?

Thanks

    Hi TheAirGuitarist,

My iPod 6g remembers this. Is this a large table? It may be a RAM issue. Do you use forms? Forms would remember my place even on the 5g and I think they are a great way of entering data.

In another thread SG suggests putting a search term in the footer row and searching for that if your table is really long.

    Hi Quinn

Cheers for the reply and apologies for not getting back to you sooner.

The spreadsheet in question is basically a log of my weekly running mileage for all of 2015. So yes, it is quite a large spreadsheet now. I've since spoken to a work colleague who also uses Numbers on his iPad mini and he is experiencing the same issue.

Given that this never used to happen, we were of the opinion that it might be a bug which will hopefully be resolved with the next software update.

I'm not familiar with Forms. Is this similar to Numbers?

    Thanks again.

    Hi TheAirGuitarist,

Forms is a input method within Numbers. If you tap the "+" to the left of the sheet tabs you are given the option of creating a new sheet or a form. Once you choose "Form" you select the table the form will be tied to. Each page of a form is a row of the table. Check them out.
