    Rid your M<BP of Mackeeper:

    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3040

The Etrecheck report also indicates that you have a Torrent application installed.  Get rid of that as well.  Torrents are an excellent source of malware.

Additional RAM would be useful.  The best sources of Mac compatible RAM are OWC nad Crucial.

    Ciao.

How much is it to add ram to your macbook, price and install? How beneficial would it be?

Installing RAM is very easy and you can do it yourself.  Look at this video:

    http://eshop.macsales.com/installvideos/macbookpro_13_unibody_mid12_mem/

Additiional RAM will allow you to either use more applications simultaneously or run resource intensive applications more efficiently with less or no slow downs.  There will some but not be a dramatic change change in performance.

An 8 GB upgrade will be about $60±, depending upon where you purchase it.  As I said before, OWC and Crucial are the best sources.

    Ciao.

while I am in the Macbook, should i do anything else?  Or buy anything else to upgrade along with it?  Would you recommend i just move to 8 gig or is it possible to go higher?  Also should i do the OWC brand or the apple one?

Your MBP will accept up 16 GB RAM which for the average user is not necessary.  Unless one is using RAM intensive applications a lot, 8 GB RAM should prove to be adequate,

You might also consider installing a SSD in place of the HDD.  There will be a noticeable positive impact but it does coma at a price.  SSDs tend to be 3 times the cost of HDDs.  OWC and Crucial also provide good SSDs.  There have been too many problems reported with Samsung SSDs so I suggest that you avoid them.

Apple does not make RAM, but has their own supplier.  You will pay a lot more to have Apple install the RAM for you without any difference in quality.  Do it your self and use OWC or Crucial RAM.

    Ciao.
