Q: Can't install Windows on my iMac !

hello everybody!!!

I tried to install Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 on my iMac but every time I started the installation process with the bootcamp it stops in the middle of downloading of Apple's software to support Windows and write me: "Can't download the software because of a network problem." I know my internet workes properly. Is there a solution for that or any other way to install the windows in a new partition in my mac?

I have an Windows 10 ISO and Windows 8.1 ISO downloaded from Microsoft site and I'm using iMac 21.5 (late 2013)

Thanks for answering!!!

What is the 32GB USB used for? Your 8GB USB is incorrectly formatted/named/created. The 32GB one looks correct, but unless we check the contents, it is suspect. You need only one USB, not two. It needs to be a USB2 flash drive.

As a test, can you download https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier and run a test as the following log shows?

    MyName-rmbp:brigadier-master MyName$ ./brigadier -h

    Usage: brigadier [options]

    Options:

-h, --help            show this help message and exit

      -m MODEL, --model=MODEL

System model identifier to use (otherwise this

machine's model is used). This can be specified

multiple times to download multiple models in a single

                            run.

-i, --install         After the installer is downloaded, perform the install

automatically. Can be used on Windows only.

      -o OUTPUT_DIR, --output-dir=OUTPUT_DIR

Base path where the installer files will be extracted

into a folder named after the product, ie.

'BootCamp-041-1234'. Uses the current directory if

                            this option is omitted.

-k, --keep-files      Keep the files that were downloaded/extracted. Useful

only with the '--install' option on Windows.

      -p PRODUCT_ID, --product-id=PRODUCT_ID

Specify an exact product ID to download (ie.

'031-0787'), currently useful only for cases where a

model has multiple BootCamp ESDs available and is not

downloading the desired version according to the post

                            date.

    MyName-rMBP:brigadier-master MyName$ ./brigadier -m MacBook8,1 -o Bootcamp-MacBook8,1
