Q: Nightstand mode "gently brightens"??

Has anyone witnessed this happening as described in the settings screen?  Because if I happen to be awake before my alarm goes on, I can see that at t - 5 minutes, the screen suddenly comes on, at full brightness, and remains that way.  There's absolutely nothing gentle about it. Is my Watch faulty, or is this a bug that should be reported?

This is part of the code, and is a feature, not a bug. I guess the developers had in mind to "gently" wake you up with brightness. It might be removed in the next update, if the developers get enough complaints about it. My solution would be to disable night stand mode, if you do not like it. The alarms will still go off. You can also turn down the brightness in the settings, although im not sure if this effects the nightstand mode.

More than a few people here have commented that the  Watch watch screen does not 'gently brighten" shortly before the alarm sounds. I think it is an oversight in the description of the alarm function when in Nightstand Mode.
