Note: food and water generally don't mix well with electronics. Try to dry your hands thoroughly and clean them after eating anything that is sticky.

I have the same issue. I purchased MacBook 12" in April and noticed left Cmd-key went somehow wrong in June.
I brought the Mac to Genius Bar in August to ask how I can fix this. Genius Bar clerk said "it's not a functional issue but an exterior issue. You can still type letters without problems, right? We can't apply AppleCare program on this so you'll be charged 100% of fixing fee which will cost around $500."
In my opinion, keyboard printings (top-coating painting actually) of MacBook 12" is a bit fragile compared to my previous MacBook Pro.
