Nov 4, 2015 8:27 AM in response to ommifrompakistanby KiltedTim,iPhones don't have removable batteries. Your phone is now completely unsupportable. Go buy a new one.

Nov 4, 2015 9:23 AM in response to ommifrompakistanby ZikzakCorp,The iPhone does not have a removeable battery, so we don't know what damage was done when you removed it. That aside, error code 20 indicates your device or computer might have a hardware issue that stops the update or restore from completing.
1.Check that your security software and settings aren't blocking your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
2.Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
3.Make sure that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
4.If you still see the error message when you update or restore, the phone may be unrecoverable. -

Nov 5, 2015 8:16 AM in response to ommifrompakistanby KiltedTim,It doesn't matter how careful you were. You can not get help here or from Apple. It's broken. By opening it up, you have forfeited all rights to service and support on that phone. Find a competent 3rd party repair shop that might be able to help you or buy a new phone.
