Q: Problems with wifi connection
I have an iPhone 6S+ which has no issues logging in to my home wifi network (password protected) and my office network (unsecured). But I have issues when I visit the golf club every weekend with the parents. Their wifi network is password protected and the password changes monthly.
I always make sure I have the updated password when I log in. I was previously using Samsung Note 3 and Note Edge and had no issues with the golf club's wifi. Once connected I had internet access all the time. With the 6S+ I am able to log in to the network. The wifi icon is there and it states the network name. I have internet connection initially but usually by the time lunch is half way through, I lose my internet connection.
The wifi icon is still there though and it states I'm connected to the network. Just that nothing works. I can't browse, I can't email, FB, Instagram, etc. Sometimes I get the phone to forget the network and then detect the network again. That works at times. Sometimes I have to forget and re-detect MANY times before it works. Once I wasn't even able to get any internet connection at all the minute I entered the lobby.
The club's IT staff suggested I clear my password keychain however I don't even use the keychain so there is nothing to clear. They then suggested I reset my network settings but doing this each time I go to the club is ridiculous.
Since I had no issues with Samsung phones, I would assume its either something in the iPhone's settings or the club's hardware settings. If its the latter there's obviously not much I can do, but I'm just wondering if its the phone's settings?
Anyone else faced a similar issue?
