Now my iPad just has USB cable pic saying connect to iTunes and I can't switch it on more

If you have tried to update the iOS version on your iPad and have ended up getting the "Connect to iTunes" screen, you should follow the steps in this article to correct it - If you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

I did all the things I could find recommended on the Apple forum and nothing worked until I used a freeware program called Reiboot by Tenorshare. It got me unbricked, but my OS was back where I started.
