Q: scanning with Epson V700

I want to scan a large volume of 35mm slides mostly Kodachrome but also Fuji Velvia. I'd like to know what the best size and resolution would be best. I have Epson Scan and Silverfish 8 on my iMac Intel i5. I also have some old large format B&W Kodak negatives.

Apple keyboard is paired to a Mac

Scanning anything is a trial and error process. What is ideal for one user is totally wrong for the next. In other words you will have to do your own experimentation in order to get the best size and resolution for your needs.

In addition, ensure your Epson software works okay with the version of OS X you have installed. Don't assume it does. I would recommend using Image Capture which is pre-installed on your system for scanning. If you are not familiar with it please look over Mac Basics: Using a scanner - Apple Support

    Good luck
