Q: Cannot upload from photos to Picasa
Recently been encouraged to upgrade the OS again on my MAC which meant I had to accept Photos being installed. Had't realised that it would not allow me to continue to use iPhoto, which I was quite happy with as only really used a repository for loads of photos without editing them. I also use a Google product called Picasa Web Albums Uploader which allowed me to seemlessly upload all the photos to Picasa using Google Storage.
I used to be able to drag and drop photos from iPhoto into the Uploader but this feature is now not supported with Photos.
With Google storage costing $1.99 per month for 1TB whereas Apple iCloud storage is $15 I have no desire to move to Apple iCloud for my photos.
Does anyone know if I can uninstall Photos and return to using iPhoto seemlessly?
Alternatively will Photos be fixed to support the 3rd party programs it used to work with ? I appreciate it will probably have to be the 3rd party application vendors that will have to do all the work to accommodate Apple's new Photos API

Is the iPhoto application still in the Applications folder? It and the iPhoto Library stayed in place for me and a lot of people who have posted here. If iPhoto is not there, go to the App Store Purchases tab and try to download the program again.
