Nov 10, 2015 9:48 AM in response to douglasnelsonby Allan Eckert,★HelpfulAs long as the MacBook has a ThunderBolt port, all you need to do is connect the drive to the MacBook with a ThunderBolt cable.
If the MacBook does not have a ThunderBolt port then there is no way to connect the ThunderBolt drive to the MacBook.

Nov 10, 2015 9:31 AM in response to Allan Eckertby douglasnelson,Thanks for your reply. Yes this is what bothered me. I have bought the new MacBook with the C drive and there is no attachment to allow a thunderbolt drive. There is one available that gives a USB port but nothing I can find for a thunderbolt port. Not happy with this since I would have expected Apple to provide some compatibility.....

Nov 10, 2015 10:04 AM in response to douglasnelsonby Allan Eckert,★HelpfulIt appears Intel has a ThunderBolt 3 to USB-c adapter. Read about it at http://www.macrumors.com/2015/06/02/intel-thunderbolt-3-usb-c-displayport-1-2/
That is one of the hazards with going out on to the bleeding edge of technology, you are forced to wait for everything else to catch up.
