Q: why the new MacBook Pro doesn't have the USB-C port?
why the new MacBook Pro doesn't have the USB-C port? I understood that is the approved standard for the industry.
I have a three year old MacBook Air. Since I need to upgrade getting a new one and I'm trying to decide between the new MacBook and the Macook.
I don't like the idea of having only one connection as is the case of the new MacBook which has no other USB or Thunderbolt. I like the portability and lightness but I feel the resources are limited.

"While the development strengthens the case for USB-C, it’s unlikely that Apple would adopt the radical single-port approach for MacBook Pro machines, where it’s common for professional users to connect multiple devices simultaneously. We’re most likely to see the existing Thunderbolt port replaced with one or two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt capability."
