Q: Does an internal lightscribe drive exist for mid 2010 macbook?

So im a dork and still think that light scribe is cool, therefore i have loads of light scribe media and was wondering if there is a light scribe drive that reads dual layer and re writable drives that would fit into my macbook. Anyone know?

    Seems the options I've found are external, except for a few models that were

    intended to upgrade or replace internal unit in tower G5 PowerMac, or MacPro.

    Here's an external that can write labels, and other significant tasks...

    {Note: This drive is NOT LightScribe or LabelFlash equipped}

    ...and the OWC company includes label making software:

    [ the unit inside is an "LG Super-Multi Drive 24X DVD/CD Writer" see specs in above link ]

    There may be others, but doubt the kind of option you seek was offered by most.

    A company by the name MCE used to offer upgrade internal optical drives for Mac

    but haven't seen them for awhile.

    Good luck!
