Nov 10, 2015 7:47 PM in response to gail from maineby Sapote,Yes... been through that multiple times. Not sure about 2-Step Verification. I think I have that, but it's never come up.
This began post-El Capitan, never happened in Yosemite.

Nov 10, 2015 8:12 PM in response to Sapoteby gail from maine,If you have 2-step Verification, then you have to sign in Messages and FaceTime with the App-specific password, so that is probably what it is asking for:

Nov 13, 2015 11:22 AM in response to gail from maineby Sapote,I'm still unclear with this 2-Step Verification thing. Not sure I have/use it now. And I haven't used Messages or FaceTime on this new iMac. This was not an issue pre-migration from old iMac running El Capitan. Otherwise, the window hasn't popped up in a few days. Very sporadic. Can't pinpoint what causes it, typically after login I think.

Feb 19, 2016 2:06 PM in response to Sapoteby Sapote,It's back! Once again that problem with iCloud window popping up and asking me to sign in when I'm already singed in and everything is the same as it's been - no settings have been changed. Is it iCloud? Seems fine once I open Settings and cancel sign in window, since I'm, you know, already singed in. Is it the internet? That's working. No idea what is going on here, but it suddenly starts popping up last week after 2-3 months without incidence.

Feb 19, 2016 4:27 PM in response to Sapoteby Eric Root,Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Move the following to the Trash and restart.
Close all running apps. Put the following items in the trash:
1) In the ~/Library/ folder, put the Caches folder in the trash.
2) In the ~/Library/Application Support/ folder, put the folder iCloud in the trash.
3) In the ~/Library/Preferences/ folder, put the file MobileMeAccounts.plist in the trash.
