Q: I have the same exact message as above, only i am using firefox, w/mavricks, & have shockwave 19.0.0 245 & it is up to dat, do you need to run both to watch,(stream movies)

I have been getting message to upgrade to Adobe Flash, I am currently running with Adobe Shockwave Flash player, with Firefox, Mavricks 10.9.5 the article about the upgrade mentioned  using safari, do you need to have both Adobe Flash players, Use mostly stream movies, small stuff, not alot downloading. Using firefox 42.0

    You only use one install of flash it works in Firefox as well as Safari, you dont need two. Personally I don't use flash any more, its to much of a security hazard so my new iMac does not have it, and wont be downloading it.Most sites I use work fine without it, and other sites are switching to HTML5 anyway. But if you must use it update it from either the system preferences or from Adobes site, and no other. Never update via pop ups or third party sites.
