Q: I reduce the .mov file size, sound is missing every time

A bit frustrated here, I keep trying to reduce a 52gb .mov file from an event that I would like to put on-line. I know I have to reduce it way down, but every time I do (with various different programs like Aimersoft Video Converter and Quicktime) the sound is missing It is there in there in the original .mov, but missing in every type of conversion I do. I'd appreciate a little help...thank you

    Hi there.

I recommend that you avoid using third party converters. They often introduce new issues while attempting to solve others. MPEG Streamckip is an exception to what I just stated and it's a free download.

However, you may not need any converter. Right click your video file and see whether you have the Encode Selected Video File option. Select your frame size (say, 720P) and H.264 for a codec.

    Good luck.
