Q: Import Error -9912 with iOS 9.1   OS X 10.11.1

Hello there!

While on Yosemite + iOS 9.0.1 on my iPhone 6S Plus, I was successfully able to Import photos from the device onto MBP 2011. After updating to iOS 9.1, I can no longer import any photos from the device - neither with Image Capture, Photos, nor with Lightroom. Image Capture gives me Import Error -9912. Moreover the phone disconnects itself after about a minute into the import process. This is a major problem I cannot figure out a solution for. And upgrading the system from Yosemite to El Capitan did not make the problem go away.

I appreciate any and all ideas,

Thanks!

What a nightmare this is. I bought two identical iPhone 6S+ 128GB phones. I shot exactly the same photos/videos with both. One's import goes flawlessly, the other iPhone always fails, whether from iPhoto, from Image Capture, whether Import All or even if importing one file at a time. And even the errors keep changing:

    - Import error (-9912). An error occured while importing. The item ‘IMG_8060” was not imported.

    - An error occurred

    - The camera “IMRAN iPhone 6S+ 128 G2” was disconnected while importing. 25 items were not imported.

Absolute nightmare. Now I have to waste time and see if I just need to replace that 'defective' iPhone since NOTHING different between the 2 phones.
