Iphone 6+, iOS 9.1, Trying to sync tones and am asked "Are you sure you want to remove existing music, movies, TV shows, books and tones from this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?". I DO NOT want to remove exsisting content. How do I sync without removing? I have used an app to create my own tone and the final step is to sync tones. I am new to iPhone the lack of customizable tones is agravating! None of the exsisting tones are loud enough and I am missing appointments, I need a custom tone. PLEASE HELP
that message means that your phone was sync to a different iTunes media library than the one your currently trying to sync to.
IPhones are meant to be sync to one iTunes library.

Nov 13, 2015 2:22 PM in response to razmee209by SinfullySepents,ramee209, I am logging into the same computer and the same iTunes account/library as always. Yes, I just checked to make sure and am still getting this message. I have no idea why it feels I am connecting to a different library but really do not want to have to go through my enormous library of music and try to find all the songs currently on my phone if it removes them. Any other suggestions.

If this is the same computer you've sync too and this is where you've sync all your music, then you don't need to worry about having to find what songs got deleted as all your songs is already in your iTunes media library, Right?

Nov 13, 2015 2:57 PM in response to razmee209by SinfullySepents,razmee209, let me make sure you and I are on the same page. My concern was not that my music would be "lost" as i know it is in my library. My concern is if the sync removes everything, then I have to try and guess what the 522 songs were that I have on my phone. If I have chosen to back my phone up, I can then get it all back, correct? But will the new tone I created get deleted if I restore?

Nov 13, 2015 3:09 PM in response to SinfullySepentsby razmee209,why would you need to guess what 552 songs is on your phone?
You music should already be in your iTunes media library, you can easily check that in iTunes.
You did sync your music to your phone using iTunes right?
Music and tones isn't part of the iTunes back up, because you sync them to your phone.

Nov 13, 2015 3:24 PM in response to razmee209by SinfullySepents,razmee209, please bear with me, what I'm trying to say is if I have 1500 songs in my library but only 522 on my phone and only want that 522 then what happens if iTunes erases my existing content, do I have to try and remember what songs I had on the phone and then search through my library to find and reload onto my phone?

At last, you never mentioned you had 1500 songs in your media library... Now I understand what you're saying.
Well, you can try and create a playlist of the current songs that you have on your phone - take that back that won't work b/c when you sync the phone its going to erase it.
However you can create the playlist in iTunes - but that will still require you to search for the songs in iTunes to put in the playlist.
Sorry I can't think of anything els.

Nov 13, 2015 3:33 PM in response to razmee209by SinfullySepents,razmee209 so i guess where we're at is how do i make it realize it is the same library so it won't erase everything when I sync the tones? any additional thoughts on how to convince it as so.
