Q: how to start apple tv after restoring using itunes?

I have a third generation apple tv and recently had problems with it - it wasn't connecting to the tv, and i also couldn't connect any devices to it. So i did a restore using the itunes, but when i plugged it back into the television, it showed this screen IMG_1394.JPG

which disappeared after about half a minute. when i unplug the HDMI and plug back, nothing happens anymore.

Anyone knows what's going on? please help, thank you!

Did you follow this procedure? If yes, try it again. Something might have gone wrong. If it doesn't help you could have a hardware problem.

Yes, I followed all the way to step 7, had no problem restoring it via itunes. Tried it about 3 times so far and all the same result. At first i was wondering whether it was a problem with the display connection but since that screen (attached image above) is able to show up on the tv so i guess not...

Try unplugging all cables and leaving it like that for a few minutes. Then plug all cables back in and see if that changes anything. If not, then that's all you can do, except bringing it to an Apple store or a service provider for repairs.
