Q: Whatsapp notifications / banners not working with iPhone 6s

just got the new iPhone 6s and I can't get any notifications or banners from whatsapp. All the settings are on and still nothing. Even reseted the app and downloaded it again but not working. Is this related to the ios 9.1? Thank you

    Howdy Lmfs28,

I understand that you're not getting notifications for a particular app on your iPhone. The steps outlined below can help restore notifications for the affected app.

Push notifications require an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If you’re not getting notifications for a specific app, try these steps:

    1. Go to Settings > Notifications to verify that the app supports notifications. If notifications do not appear in the Notification Center, make sure that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.
    2. Make sure you’re signed in to your Apple ID.
    3. If you’ve recently installed an app or restored a backup, open the app to start getting notifications.

Oh don't worry about this. According to the developers of the Whatsapp apps, they haven't come out with an update that is quite completely compatible with iOS 9.1. Therefore there is still some small bug.

So technically speaking, Apple came out with a brand new update. But it doesn't mean all apps are completely compatible. The apps needs to be updated as well. It's basically buying a high-end car but you're using primitive gas instead of premium. Apps needs to follow the tendency as well.
