Q: How do i install the new OS X Lion

I have a used macbook and do not know the apple ID which it is linked to. How do i install the new OS X Lion i just bought and got a licence for in the mail.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

A:

actually i was able to retrieve the apple id from the previous owner. My moms. So now i am flying high on the wings of love. Fly baby fly. Reaching the stars above, touching the sky.

A used machine should have been reset to the way it shipped from Apple and nay ID would have been removed.
What version of OS X are you now running?

Well, i am using my own apple ID now when buying from Itunes, using icloud etc.

But i had to use the previous macowners ID to reinstall the OS X which i deleted.

Should i do something different? Like what?
