Nov 17, 2015 11:56 PM in response to gadgetphanby Monarke4,Windows 10 also tracks your activity. MS has installed spyware " tracking telemetry". It's just like Facebook. Did you actually think you'd something for nothing?
Perfect examples of the very thing MS said they considered spyware which they are now doing.
Windows 10 is SPYWARE

Nov 18, 2015 12:39 AM in response to Monarke4by ErnestinaSimonsova,Thanks Monarke4,
I had seen Phil's post with the addresses, I will send a letter. I am an IT man, I started in 1978 on punched cards and Fortran while on grammar school, on Sinclair ZX81 and Spectrum (adding a floppy drive to it, writing a BIOS extension in assembler and machine code) while in college, on PC's since 1984 or 5, etc. etc. How many years is this ? Good Lord, 37. And how much of this sort of BS have we had to deal with in this time ? How many hours, days, weeks, months or years of life lost solving problems caused by the incompetence and lax attitude towards their customers on the side of the big SW companies. Upgrades, drivers, patches, compatibility, security etc. I am getting tired of this. Always the same story.
But this issue and particularly the sneaky way how it was intentionally introduced (see Apple's response: "no longer supported") with contempt for the customers and the problems it causes for them has made me exceptionally angry and disappointed.
Of course I can create a workaround but that is not the issue. Not everybody can and no one should have to. I don't want to. Not good.

Nov 18, 2015 12:49 AM in response to Monarke4by ErnestinaSimonsova,And has my post just been removed as well ? Right after Monarke4's (with the addresses) ? And Phil's as well ? C'mon Apple, you are being ridiculous.

Nov 18, 2015 12:59 AM in response to Monarke4by ErnestinaSimonsova,I posted my view of the problem in a decent manner using polite language - only to have my post removed almost immediately. Is this the way the problem is going to be dealt with ? By deleting our posts ? I made screen clippings before my second post and Monark's post were deleted, if anyone is interested I will send them. Are we supposed to accept this attitude towards us, paying customers ? What have we done wrong to deserve this ?

Nov 18, 2015 1:09 AM in response to pepeidolioquintanillaby ErnestinaSimonsova,Well, this is thick stuff. I spend time writing an entry into this official forum to communicate a problem to the vendor, I write politely with proper language and without any aggressive attitude, keeping on the subject, and my post gets deleted. Just like that. This is very rude and very wrong and I am not happy. This is not the end of this.

Nov 18, 2015 1:32 AM in response to pepeidolioquintanillaby ErnestinaSimonsova,Another post of mine just got deleted. I wish Apple used their manpower somewhere where it would be more useful for us, the customers.

Nov 18, 2015 9:04 AM in response to fogey22by dr_jon,"If your phone isn't retrieving mail, I don't see how a different type of mail account is going to help.
Was the note not on your phone either? Where did you email it from?"
The Note was in Outlook. I e-mailed from Outlook on my PC. The phone was retrieving non-POP e-mail for some reason. You probably need others to explain what the POP issue is as I'm not sure. I was annoyed though...

Nov 18, 2015 9:06 AM in response to Monarke4by dr_jon,Saying Windows 10 is Spyware is a bit limiting, as all the monitoring stuff has been back-ported into Windows 7, 8 and 8.1.

Nov 18, 2015 11:27 AM in response to dr_jonby carannas,Is there a website that lists those snoopy updates? After reading your link on the sneaky updates I shut mine off completely. I sure don't have anything to hide like illegal downloads of Katy Perry (had to look her up) I'm a Matthew West fan and can listen to his music on utube. With that being said I could joke about the plans I have on banks i am going to rob, and my "other" lists but that's the crap that this government concentrates on, the jokes, the free speech on how you feel about this government (yes I know you don't scream fire in a crowed movie theater). I fear putting down on paper (via computer) about what happened at an IRS audit of the daughter of a republican chair that I attended. Half way into it I believed all the IRS targeting of opposite party audits. That is why I value my information. That is why I believe in the constitution that has been just trampled and ignored like never before in the history of this nation. So while those name calling, divisive progressives attack us, I'm not gonna change my mind on the U.S. having the greatest set of documents to ensure the freedom of people. I sure am missing them. That's why I am so impressed with presidential candidate Ted Cruz. He has memorized the Constitution (he has a audiograpic memory which helps!) He has gone before the Supreme Court nine times. He believes whole hardheartedly in our privacy and freedoms. Safe to say he's not going to pad the pockets of the Microsoft, Apple, GE etc etc through regulation so they will turn over our information. Well I guess my age shows since I still remember real freedom and privacy and we were safer back then. I wonder if this will be deleted.

Nov 18, 2015 1:02 PM in response to dr_jonby Monarke4,I go through all update and check to see what they are/do. If there is no description, I search for information about the KBs and if I find out any of them are indeed telemetry updates (which some have been) I don't install them. MS now constantly reissues the same KB updates, even if you hide them it makes no difference. One of the wonderful MS updates, blocked WHS2011 from doing back-ups of computers here in the house.

Nov 18, 2015 1:16 PM in response to ErnestinaSimonsovaby Monarke4,Now that I see what is going on, I will not buy another Apple product. I see now they don't care what we think. When my 5S dies, that's it, I'm looking elsewhere. I'm sorry now that I talked my mother into buying a 6S Plus to replace here 5 in which the face was peeling away from the body of the phone. This experience with deleting of posts has really opened my eyes as to what their priorities are.
What use is Itunes on my computer if it's only use will be to purchase music tracks, which I don't. I still prefer to own a licensed hard copy of a compact disc. PCM while not as good as half-track is still superior to mp3s or aac.

Nov 18, 2015 4:53 PM in response to Monarke4by carannas,Well Monarke4 do you always pass judgment on those you don't know? I don't have cable, not even an antenna I dislike TV programming and sure don't like the news, well what they call news. I choose to keep an open mind without compromising my principles. Of course if there is a fact that I stated that is incorrect in my post I'd be glad to check it out and correct my wrong. If it's my opinion, well I guess everyone will have to live with that.
I too am starting to check out other options. I'm a huge podcast person so I don't need an apple product to listen to them. Thank goodness I don't have a huge dependence on my iPhone. The outlook sync was the most important for me. I use todo app for syncing my tasks which is now gonna be for my notes also. I'm gonna do some major research to see which company doesn't mess with their customers, their bread and butter. I'm pretty sick of company's who use updates to spy more, change things that don't need changing, rearranging things and removing things. I'm sure it's not just Microsoft and Apple that like to act like that.
Well off to Fox News to start my research lol
