Q: Albums created in Photo not showing in iPad 4

Have a late 2012 Mac mini running 10.10.5 and a brand new 128 Gb iPad 4 mini

 

Have created smart albums in Photos on the mac mini and only some are shown in the iPad

They don't all show in the Photos Select albums drop down under the sync tab in iTunes.

    I turned off the Mac mini and restarted it several hours later to find all albums listed in the iTunes sync options drop down so it works, eventually, certainly not in realtime.

    Next question: what determines the order of the albums on the IPad mini

    Also how does Photos and the iPad deal with syncing videos: they don't seem go onto iPad
