Q: OS X El Captain on a 2012-Macbook Pro

So I've recently downloaded OS X El Captain, and not much changed on my laptop in terms of individual apps. I know my friends who have the MacBook got a more extensive update. I have the 2012-Macbook Pro 13" and I don't see my Safari update or the Pages and Keynote that is supposed to come with the Update. Help please.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

What version Of Safari do you have?    Safari ver 9.0.1 is cuurent

What version of Pages do you have?    Pages just a stand alone update ver 5.6.1

Have you run the >App Store> Updates

Yeah I have 9.0.1 of safari but an easy identification of the version I'm referring to is this one with square like, lettered tabs in the left hand corner of the toolbox, which i don't have.

Pages and Keynote are not now and never were part of the OS.

Apple now bundles them with all new Macs, but they do not get installed just because you upgrade the OS.

…square like, lettered tabs in the left hand corner of the toolbox, which i don't have.

The square letter tabs are "Pinned" websites. Drag a tab all the way to the left and it will "Pin" to the side.

They do not show up on their own, and you must be using Tabs in Safari.
