Nov 18, 2015 12:48 PM in response to Martin Toalby Protodd,Firstly, this is a user support forum Apple is not here but you can send them feedback http://www.apple.com/feedback/
that hat being said, I would recommend restart/update your router. Taking special note of the firewall/ports
Check settings for ports and firewalls
- If you're using a Mac, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy and select Firewall. If your firewall is blocking all incoming connections or allowing only essential services, click Firewall Options and edit your settings.
- If you're using a PC, or you have another firewall set up on your computer or router, make sure TCP port 3689 and UDP port 5342 aren't closed or blocked. Get help with third-party security software.
- Try to stream your shared iTunes content from a different computer, or to a different device.
- Try to connect your devices to a different home network.
- Contact your Internet service provider or router manufacturer for help.
Learn more about TCP and UDP ports.

Nov 28, 2015 6:58 AM in response to BearArgyros7by Martin Toal,Thanks for the reply. That was already enabled, as was home sharing on both the Mac and the ATV, and the apple ID matched and the network was good and strong, but it took several restarts of each before they finally recognised one another. A definite reduction in usability from the previous ATV so far. Hope some software fix is pending.

Nov 29, 2015 4:41 AM in response to Martin Toalby lighthouserice,I was having the same problem and here is what I did. Go to system preferences, security & privacy, firewall, and turn off your firewall. As soon as the firewall was turned off, home sharing worked the way it used to on ATV. I just make sure after using that I go back and turn the firewall back on. Hope this helps.
