Q: Partial sync of alarm between iPhone and Apple Watch?

I have an iPhone 6s Plus running iOS 9.1 and an Apple Watch running watchOS 2.0.1.

I have noticed that my alarm will do a partial sync from the iPhone to the Watch, but not vice versa.  For example, if there are initially no alarms set on either device, and I create an alarm on my iPhone, it shows on my iPhone, but not my Watch.  However, when the alarm rings, it rings on both my iPhone and on my Watch.  If there are initially no alarms set on either device, and I create an alarm on my Watch, it shows on my Watch, but not my iPhone.  When the alarm rings, it rings only on my Watch, but not on my iPhone.

Is this the intended behavior?  If so, why? If not, what is the intended behavior?  I don't understand what the purpose of doing just a partial one-way sync between devices is.

    Hi

    That is the intended behaviour.

Alarms that are set on on your iPhone are not synced to your watch. However, subject to the option having been enabled, alerts can be pushed to your Apple Watch, where you can remotely snooze or dismiss them. The same also applies to Timers set on your iPhone.

    - To enable / disable this option, on your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Clock > Push Alerts From iPhone.

Alarms and timers that are set on your watch operate entirely independently of your iPhone.

This is a user-based technical support community, so no-one here can tell you why Apple has chosen this configuration. If you would prefer that Alarms and Timers operated differently, you can let Apple know here:
